i grew up on this shit, and it honestly did impact both my imagination & what i did with it in a non-small way; a lot of my conception of outer space came directly from Astro-Knights, for example. that was one of my favorite islands, along with Cryptids, Twisted Thicket, Steamworks, Lunar Colony, and finally Game Show & Reality TV. (a childhood crush of mine was Bucky Lucas, the burnt-out former B-lister from Reality TV, but i also just loved the minigames & plot.) my parents didn't allow me or my sister to play video games growing up, we only got a Wii when i was teen, after it kinda lost some popularity, and it was for the Wii Fit. this was my first video game, and i played it whenever i wasn't at school, hanging out with friends, or doing art. it was the best. it's lost some of its magic for me by now because i'm no longer a kid, but it's still fun, and it will probably always be fun. it will always remind me of being young and wanting to explore
