'the frankenphone' / 'frankentech'
what: i'm going to try to make a 'new' phone out of the parts of phones i already have, and if i really, really need to, i may get some individual parts for very, very cheap from some engineering supply warehouse. i am going to make my 'new' phone cute, cool, useful, simple, and i am going to imbue it with care & life
why: i am infuriated by most phones, what they do, etc., what they are used for, and i want something less abjectly harmful, more customizable, but i'm also broke, and even if i wasn't broke, i wouldn't be interested in buying something i can make -- even if i can't make it alone, or without more comprehensive education
status: just started. looking for knowledge/resources/more people to join the frankentech club that currently consists of me and wraith (of wraithcastle, accessible via my /neighbors page)
